Turn on Airplane mode before using

This used to be an outstanding app. I would fire it up any time I needed to convert metric to standard and vice versa. Used it today for the first time since the most recent update and was inundated with ads. When I load the app, theres an ad. Press a key, theres an ad. Switch apps and come back to this one, another ad. And the list goes on.

I did find a workaround to the ad assault: turn on Airplane mode before using this. This kills all network connections, and in the absence of an Internet connection, you can use the app normally.

The ad-free version seems like extortion now. Ill probably just delete this app and use Google instead.
